A simple land dispute escalated into a violent attack, leaving a man critically injured. What was meant to be a peaceful reconciliation turned into a dangerous confrontation, sparking fear and highlighting the risks of unresolved conflicts.
Land Dispute Turns Violent
A land dispute and ongoing legal tensions turned violent when the opposing parties, under the guise of a reconciliation meeting, opened fire, leaving a young man critically injured. The victim was taken to a hospital, but due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Lahore. The suspects fled the scene. Wazirabad City Police in Pakistan - registered a case based on a complaint filed by the injured man's wife.
Police Case Registered Following Attack
Farnaz Bibi, a resident of Karamabad in Pakistan, submitted a complaint to the police stating that her husband, Ibn Hassan, had a land dispute with her brother-in-law, Saqib Ali Bhutta. Saqib and his accomplices—Ahsan Kharl, also known as Tanda, and Shahzad Olakh—called them to a reconciliation meeting at a Rent-a-Car office located opposite Akhnoor Marriage Hall on Sialkot Road, Wazirabad. Farnaz, along with her husband Ibn Hassan and their sons, Amaaz Ali and Zaman Ali, arrived at the location.
The Incident and Attack Details
Upon their arrival, they found Saqib Ali Bhutta (son of Rehmat), Ajmal alias Nanha (armed with a pistol), Yaseen (armed with a pistol), Ahsan, Shahzad Olakh (son of Muhammad Boota, armed with a pistol), and Kashif alias Kashi Bhutta, all armed and waiting for them. Saqib Ali immediately fired at Ibn Hassan with the intent to kill, hitting him in the right thigh, causing him to collapse. While he lay on the ground, Ajmal fired at him again with the intent to kill. The suspects continued firing their weapons and fled the scene, shouting threats.
Dispute Over Land and Personal Agendas
The motive behind the attack, according to Farnaz, was a dispute over her share of the land, which she wanted to lease out or sell. The incident was allegedly planned with the advice of Javed Bhutta and Zeeshan Bhutta, who were seen discussing the matter at Javed Bhutta’s sitting area a day earlier. The police have registered the case under sections 324/109/148/149 PPC and are investigating the matter.
Impact of Crime on Public Safety
Cases like these spread a wave of fear amongst the common public leaving them mentally miserable with the agony of the rascals in society because such imbeciles don't care who you are in the end.
