We have been reporting different crimes all across Pakistan, and there is a stunning increase in crimes related to murder. A similar incident has taken place in Haroonabad, a town in the city of Bahawalnagar in Punjab, Pakistan.
Murder Rate In Pakistan
In Pakistan, the murder rate continues to escalate, with urban areas like Karachi seeing a significant rise in violence-related deaths. Recent statistics reveal an alarming increase from 980 fatalities in 2022 to over 1500 in 2023. Karachi, in particular, has seen a surge in targeted killings, street crimes, and other violent activities, contributing to over 67% of the total crime in Sindh. Such an exorbitant increase in these cases terrifies everyone.
Bike Incident
Details from our team have revealed this tragic incident of a man riding on his bike heading to some unknown location in Haroonabad. The victim stopped as somebody on the road gave him a stop indication for a lift. This is very common in Pakistan for different people passing by others on roads to stop and give them a lift as a good gesture. But this time, it took a very dark turn. The man on the bike stopped to give the other man a lift, but as soon as the assassin sat behind him, he pulled out a sharp knife and sliced the victim's throat with it.
Criminal Runs Way
When this assassination attempt on the bike man took place, he started shouting. Due to this, people started gathering at the place and seeing this made the criminal run from there immediately. This is exactly similar to the
case of the boy who was murdered over a little argument, where the criminal absconded from the site.
Rescue Team
After this incident, some people called the Rescue 1122 team that are known for their excellent performance in such situations. They rescued the man and took him to the hospital as the wound was very complicated.
Advice
Although it will be good to offer someone a lift in your car or bike, incidents like these tend to say that if someone asks for a ride, never give him that. You can never know the intentions of the stranger waving you his hand on the road. The best approach is to never stop your vehicle while you are on the road. This is the primary safety measure one can take. Also, advise others about the sensitivity of such incidents by sharing this news with them.
