Mothers’ Role in Child Education Highlighted at a Seminar with Senator Siraj ul Haq


A seminar on the role of mothers in child education was held at the PC Hotel in Jauharabad, Sarghoda organized by The Learners Schools and Al-Qalam Model School. The seminar focused on the importance of a mother’s role in shaping a child’s upbringing. The event was attended by mothers of the students from these schools, as well as female staff members from both institutions. The guest of honor at the event was Senator Siraj ul Haq, former Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan.


Importance of a Mother’s Role in Child Development

During the seminar, Master Trainer Shahid Abbasi spoke about the crucial role mothers play in a child’s upbringing. He emphasized that a mother’s love, care, and guidance are fundamental in teaching a child the core values of life. He further stated that to build a strong and educated society, it is essential for mothers to provide the best possible upbringing for their children, as the mother’s lap is the child’s first school.


Senator Siraj ul Haq’s Address

Senator Siraj ul Haq, while addressing the seminar, reiterated the vital importance of a mother’s role in shaping a child’s character. He stated that a mother’s love, patience, and sacrifice are the elements that play a pivotal role in a child’s personality development. He also pointed out that the way a child is raised significantly impacts their entire life. Additionally, he urged the promotion of unity and brotherhood within the Muslim Ummah.


Mission of The Learners and Al-Qalam Schools

Director of The Learners International School and Al-Qalam Model School, Akhtar Mahmood, highlighted the fundamental role of a mother in shaping a child’s life. He shared that the schools aim not only for academic success but also for the development of a generation that can contribute positively to society. The schools work together with parents to instill qualities of responsibility, respect, and self-confidence in children.


Community Participation

The seminar was attended by several prominent members, including District Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Fida-ur-Rehman, General Secretary Hafiz Tanveer Hussain Advocate, along with other members of Jamaat-e-Islami and people from civil society. The event concluded with Akhtar Mahmood thanking all the participants for their presence and contributions.
