Government's Crackdown on Illegal Petrol Pumps and LPG Stations

In a decisive move to ensure public safety, the Assistant Commissioner of Nowshera Virkan, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, launched a crackdown against illegal petrol pumps, LPG refilling stations, and other unauthorized activities. Several shops were sealed, and thousands of LPG cylinders and related equipment were confiscated. Authorities have warned those involved to shut down these operations immediately or face strict legal action.  

Action Against Illegal LPG Refilling and Petrol Pumps

Under the governance initiatives introduced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a comprehensive crackdown was initiated to tackle illegal mini petrol pumps, refilling machines, and unauthorized LPG stations. Assistant Commissioner Sahibzada Jawad Hussain Pirzada, acting on Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed’s orders, led operations across various areas of the tehsil. These efforts resulted in the sealing of numerous shops and the confiscation of thousands of kilograms of LPG cylinders and equipment used in illegal activities.  

Clear Warning to Violators

Speaking about the actions, Assistant Commissioner Pirzada issued a stern warning to those involved in these hazardous operations, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to endanger lives for personal profit. He urged violators to immediately stop their illegal and life-threatening businesses, failing which severe legal measures would follow. He also stressed that operations against illegal practices, including the sale of overpriced fuel and LPG and tampering with measurements, will continue with the same intensity to hold exploiters accountable.
