KARACHI: Two students were arrested for cheating in MDCAT 2024 retake under Section 420 for impersonation. Strict security measures prevented leaks, ensuring a fair and secure test.

In a bold move to ensure fairness, two students were caught attempting to cheat in the MDCAT 2024 retake. Thanks to tight security measures, the integrity of the exam was maintained, with no leaks or disruptions.

Strict Security Measures for MDCAT Retake

The MDCAT retake was conducted under strict security measures due to a previous test leak. After the court confirmed the leak, a decision was made to retake the test. This was a crucial move to maintain the integrity of the admissions process.

The test was held with the utmost care to avoid any further issues. Vehicles with cameras were used, and there was a heavy police presence to ensure the papers did not fall into the wrong hands. Over 38,000 students participated in the MDCAT 2024 retake. The test lasted three and a half hours and was held at various centers, including two in Karachi: NED University and the University of Karachi.

Fake Candidates Caught in the Act

In a shocking turn of events, two individuals—Abdul Majeed and Qaiser Ali—were caught trying to impersonate other candidates during the MDCAT retake. They had entered the exam hall with fake identities, hoping to sit the test on behalf of the original candidates. However, due to the strong security system and alertness of the staff, they were caught immediately.

Both individuals are now in police custody, and an FIR has been filed under Section 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code at Mobina Town Police Station. Facilitators Kamran Haider and Mukhtar have also been named in the case, as reported by ARY News.

A Positive Outcome: Strong Security and No Leaks

This incident, though alarming, highlights the importance of strong security measures during the MDCAT. It is commendable to see the staff and security working together to ensure the test was not compromised. This year's test was finally conducted without any leaks, and no serious incidents occurred to disrupt the process or harm the student community.

Overall Analysis of The Retake Test

This is ridiculous that some students would go to such lengths, sending others to take the test on their behalf just to get into MBBS medical colleges. However, it is also good to see the alertness and vigilance of the staff and the strict security measures in place that caught these culprits right away. With no major issues arising this time, it seems the authorities have done a great job ensuring the test's fairness. The strict measures have made this year's MDCAT the best one so far, as it has not leaked this time.
