Remembering APS Martyrs and a Nation’s Loss. 16th December is considered as The Black Day in Pakistan
The heartbreaking memories of the APS tragedy and the Fall of Dhaka still haunt the nation. These events remind us of the sacrifices made, the conspiracies faced, and the need to stand united against terrorism, division, and threats to the country’s peace and stability.

Commemorating the Nation’s Tragedies

A meeting was held under the auspices of the Wazirabad Press and Electronic Media Club to honor the martyrs of the APS tragedy and the Fall of Dhaka. The event was presided over by Chief Patron Mahmood Ahmed Khan Lodhi and Chairman Sheikh Tariq Amin Khalid Advocate. A large number of journalists attended the meeting, including General Secretary Naveed Aslam Bhatti, Adnan Butt, Mehr Ghulam Mustafa, Syed Ali Abbas Shah, Bilal Ahmed Khan Lodhi, and many other prominent media members.


A Call for National Unity

Chairman Sheikh Tariq Amin Khalid Advocate and other speakers stressed that every Pakistani must play their role in strengthening the nation. They highlighted the need to avoid internal divisions, warning that India’s conspiracies, which led to the Fall of Dhaka, are also responsible for the APS tragedy. Politicians were urged to learn lessons from the separation of East Pakistan, emphasizing that neglecting their duties and showing ingratitude for the blessing of independence weakened the country. The speakers emphasized the need for national unity to counter conspiracies and strengthen the country.


Remembering the APS Martyrs

The participants paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the APS tragedy and offered special prayers for their ranks to be elevated in the afterlife. Aqeel Ahmed Khan Lodhi, Chairman of the Electronic Media Club, stated that the pain of the APS martyrs remains fresh in the hearts of every Pakistani.


The Unforgettable Dark Morning of December 16

Recalling the horrific attack of December 16, 2014, Aqeel Ahmed Khan Lodhi expressed deep sorrow over the loss of 147 innocent children and their teachers. He said the terrorists cruelly targeted children who dreamed of bright futures for their country. By sacrificing innocent lives, the enemies of peace committed an act of inhuman savagery. He added that the nation salutes the APS martyrs and their grieving families.

The speakers called for an end to all forms of terrorism and urged the nation to unite in the face of such challenges.
