During a visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chakwal, Brigadier (R) Baber Alaud Din, Chairperson of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Directorate for Evaluation, Feedback, Inspection, and Monitoring, was once again presented with the urgent public demand for a new 500-bed hospital. Media person Raja Tanveer Haider emphasized that the current hospital is overwhelmed by the number of patients, causing significant difficulties for the public.


Current DHQ Hospital Struggling to Cope

Raja Tanveer Haider shared with Brigadier (R) Baber Alaud Din that the existing DHQ Hospital is struggling to manage the large number of patients due to its insufficient capacity. He highlighted that despite the best efforts of the Medical Superintendent (MS), Sheikh Raftar, the hospital’s resources are inadequate to handle the growing number of patients. Tanveer stressed the necessity of building a modern, well-equipped hospital with 500 beds to provide better healthcare facilities to the public.

The call for a new 500-bed hospital in Chakwal has received widespread support from the public. With the current DHQ hospital unable to cope with the patient load, citizens are facing severe difficulties in accessing medical care.
